Sindh Community Foundation is a civil society organization formed by the committed young social activities artists, writers. The organization has a motive to engage the youth in social change process through involving them in sociao0cultural activities and give input of youth the process of development. SCF is working fro empowering the neglected segments of society through awareness, mobilization and advocacy activities .Training and theater are the key strategies to aware the communities on the social issues and engage them the development process as a whole. It is working for youth, women, minorities and rural communities. Social Mobilization, advocacy, health and Education, omen development, Youth development area the key programs of organization. It has gathered youth and empowering them through equipping them with the modern skills and knowledge on the social issues. the organization is running the Youth Resource Center where more than 33 youth area getting skills of computer and also being trained on theater performance and other social cultural activities .
Describe how your organisation is engaged in international cooperation and exchange.
The Organization is working on peace building process between Pakistan and India, as the peace is the main issues winch is related with global paradigm of new development phase. It intends to work together for peace is the key approach for international cooperation. Cultural exchange and sharing of practices and experience in culture , art and social perspective is the crass cutting motive of organization

We have a youth community theater groups comprised on 7 members 2 female and 5 male members and we have arranged various theaters on educating eth rural communities on various social issues such as education importance, women empowerment, gender discrimination, youth issues and domestic violence, HIV/AIDS and other social issues of Pakistani society. We have also arranged programs for promoting peace through culture between India and Pakistan to support the peace building process. We have arranged music programs for attributing eth great poet of Sub continent Bhagat Kabeer at the World Social Forum 2006 at Karachi. Organization also arranges the training workshops on Women rights , Human rights , Gender equality , youth issues , leadership , confidence building , HIV/AIDS and other areas of development for women , youth , rural communities and minorities.What are the major internal and external challenges your organisation is facing?
Lack of funding is major external threat to organization while due to lack of trained human resource organization cannot work effectively with modern tools and techniques of training and working as civil society organization in area and Province Sindh OF Pakistan. The organization is purely comprised by youth and programs are being implemented by youth.
What are the main achievements and strengths of your organisation?
Formed five female groups and one female CBO in six villages and five make groupds.
Organised ten 6 awareness workshops for women, men and youth on HIV/AIDS prevention.
Published five thousand pamplets and brsuhers on HIV/AIDS, women rights, Hepatitis, honor killing, violence against women.
Organised five seminars on TB, minority and women partiicpation in Democracy process attended by 50 male female participants.
Developed linkages with regional and international organisations.
Organised 5 workshops on Reproductive health attended by 84 female and 29 male participants.
Organised three blood grouping camps in three urban and rural areas 491 peoples grouped.
Formed 5 women groups for RH in 5 villages of Qasimabad Taluka.
Formed 6 youth groups in the three semi urban areas of Qasimadbad.
Surveyed 60 youth of the area.
Organised 23 community mobilisation meeting in the villages as first entry and collective meeting.
Performed 20 theaters on Gender discrimination, RH, HIV/AIDS, violence against women, Honor killing, education and other social issues of the region.
Organised Women Conference at Hyderabad in which 100 women attended and 50 representatives form civil society and media participated, three awards were given to three active women in Theatre, community Development and Literature segmetnts.
Research on Honor killings and violence against women in Sindh is continuous process of Women Development and Advocacy programe of organisation.
Organised Seminar on Globalisation and Youth on the eve of international youth Day in collaboration with SPO Sindh ON 12 August 2006. 110 Youth participated the program.
Youth Community theatre group.
SCF has a theatre group comprised two female and four male members. Theater is effective oot for sustaining people on various social issues. SCF has performed more than 12 theatres on Gender, violence against women, women participation in democracy and HIV/AIDS, RH and youth problems in villages.
